About our Youth Advisory Board

The Board helps shape and promote all youth activity, from selecting guest artists to recommending workshops and supporting emerging creatives, with paid roles built in throughout. They also advise us at key points of growth, challenge and change. Each meeting includes a short skills or inspiration session tied to live programme work.
They also have a small fund to develop their own ideas, whether that’s a project, upskilling opportunity, or inspirational visit.
This approach ensures young people influence real decisions, gain sector relevant experience, and cocreate a genuinely youth led programme rooted in lived experience.
Do you have a creative idea for a youth focused event or workshop?
Our Youth Advisory Board are opening a brand new youth-curated commissioning pot for bold, creative ideas for their youth engagement programme and they want to hear from you!

Callum Docksey
Callum has been part of Gloucester Guildhall’s Young Programmer scheme for over 2 years and is excited to move to the next level.
Callum has worked in the event industry for 10 years, organising and delivering events all over the country and has a lot of experience as a technician for sound, lighting and AV. He also has worked on several local short films doing filming and editing. Callum also produced his own film based around the heritage/ history of wheeled sports in Gloucester.
A skilled skater, Callum is the representative for Gloucester skatepark and is passionate about making a difference in the area. Callum has been running the Gloucester skatepark project for 3 years, organising summer programmes including competitions, workshops and fundraisers.
Callum runs a community led organisation at Gloucester skatepark that will work closely with Gloucester City Council to improve the area and the livelihoods of people in Gloucester. Callum's goal is to create a skate shop/community hub which is run by the community. This hub will allow the community to run workshops, community projects and promote fundraising for the area. He also aims to make the hub as eco friendly as possible.

She is passionate about amplifying young voices, supporting inclusive artistic spaces, and helping shape events that reflect the diverse communities of Gloucester.
Danielle Tipton
Danielle Tipton is an artist, photographer, and creative facilitator whose work sits at the intersection of fine art photography, poetry, and storytelling. Her practice is rooted in phototherapy and autobiographical exploration, using art as a way to process and transform lived experience.
Drawing from a difficult childhood and the lasting impact of depression and anxiety, Danielle’s work explores themes of identity, resilience, and emotional survival. She describes her visual language as “classic tragedy” — creating pieces that are both beautiful and unsettling, where darkness and elegance exist side by side.
Through photography, poetry, and performance, Danielle transforms deeply personal experiences into art that invites empathy and reflection. Her work seeks to create connection: allowing audiences to be drawn in by beauty while encouraging compassion for the vulnerability and pain that inspired it.
Alongside her artistic practice, Danielle also works within communities, using creativity as a tool for healing, empowerment, and storytelling, particularly with young people and those who have experienced adversity.

Davridge James
Davridge is passionate about supporting and representing the voices of young people in his community. Davridge has a genuine interest in creating positive opportunities and environments where young people feel heard, valued and empowered by the projects, events and innovations that he has been involved in and is still to do.
As a member of the youth advisory group Davridge looks forward to contributing thoughtful ideas, representing diverse perspectives, and help shape initiatives that make a real difference for young people.

Its motto, “In unity, we find our voice,” reflects her mission to help people reclaim confidence and identity.
Javeisha has shared her insights through public speaking and school-based research, connecting directly with young people. A creative at heart, she uses music, poetry, and spoken word as tools for expression and healing.
With over six years’ experience in social care and a Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification, she works in a trauma informed, person centred way. She mentors at The Music Works, is a youth leader at Chispa CIC, and co-leads women’s boxing programmes in Gloucester.
