This city‑wide heritage has shaped the festival’s identity and through every era, Gloucester Guildhall has remained the heart of Underground, the place where the day begins, the energy builds and the biggest moments land.

Underground’s reputation is backed by a serious track record. The festival has always been ahead of the curve, championing artists long before they hit the mainstream. Bastille, Lower Than Atlantis, Peace and George Ezra all played early sets here and created the kind of moments fans still talk about.
