Known for running popular filmmaking competition Straight 8, Ed Sayers has had a lifelong passion for Super 8 film. After being struck by beautiful footage of flamingos captured on the format, he devised a plan for a globe-spanning documentary to celebrate the wildlife that surrounds us. Super 8 cameras were sent to collaborators in 25 countries, and their footage here makes up an exhilarating journey across land, air and sea. This seamlessly edited meditation on the natural world, while acknowledging the threats that many species face, is a really unforgettable watch on the big screen.
