Oscar nominee Ryan Gosling (First Man, Half Nelson, Barbie) stars in Phil Lord and Christopher Miller’s (creators of the Spider-Verse and Lego Movie series) adaptation of The Martian writer Andy Weir’s 2021 sci-fi endurance thriller. 

When science teacher Ryland Grace (Gosling) wakes up on an interstellar spaceship, he doesn’t know who he is or how he got there. As his memory gradually returns, he remembers he’s been tasked with solving the riddle behind a mysterious substance that's causing the sun to die out. It’s a monumental mission that calls on all his scientific training – but he may not have to do it alone.
