Love + War (15) [Preview]

Oscar-winning filmmakers Chai Vasarhelyi and Jimmy Chin (Free Solo) turn the camera on Pulitzer Prize–winning photographer Lynsey Addario as she documents the war in Ukraine and looks back on her career.

“People have a tendency to move on,” says Lynsey Addario. “It’s my job to get people to continue paying attention.” Love+War profiles this acclaimed photojournalist as she risks her life on this mission – following her on trips to the front line in Ukraine and recalling her work in previous war zones in Afghanistan, Iraq, Sudan, and Libya (where she was kidnapped by Muammar Gaddafi’s troops) among others. Filled with remarkable footage and insights from Addario’s storied career, contrasted with her London home life as a mother of small children, Love+War examines the ethics and personal toll of an essential and demanding career.
