Little Bulb Theatre Listen Dance
About Listen Dance
Listen Dance is an evening of live music and dancing from Olivier Award-winning Little Bulb.
Led by a genre-hopping 9-piece live band, you’ll be invited onto the dancefloor to try a range of different social dances - from ceilidh to candy, disco to drum & bass, there’s even a beginner’s guide to moshing!
Every dance is opt-in and beginner-friendly. You don’t need to know the moves, you just need to show up.
With Little Bulb’s signature theatrical charm, Listen Dance is a life-affirming night out that celebrates the past, present and future of social dance.
Sometimes hilarious, sometimes moving, always joyful, all are welcome!
We are very excited to announce that the show will be extra special as Little Bulb will be welcoming the wonderful Jismy Juda Thadevus as guest dancer on the night. Jismy runs the biweekly Nach Le Bollywood Dance group in Gloucester and will be bringing some members of her group along to showcase this expressive dance style and give the audience a chance to try it out for themselves. Bollywood dance is so uplifting whether you’ve danced it all your life or you’re trying it for the first time. We’re so thrilled to be able to include this dynamic dance culture in a night that celebrates an eclectic range of different dances including ceilidh, candy, disco, rock ‘n’ roll and house.

If joy were bottled, it would feel like this
Recklessly talented... insanely brave
It’s made me want to go out and dance more often
I didn’t know I needed this, but I did! More please, preferably monthly!
I arrived tired and grumpy. I left elated! So fun, joyful and silly. I challenge anyone to not leave with a big smile on their face.
