Joni Mitchell's Blue
An Evening in Laurel CanyonAbout Joni Mitchell's Blue
Overlooking the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles’ Sunset Strip, Laurel Canyon hosted a community of musicians through the 1960’s and 70’s forming a hive of creativity in the age of hippies and flower-power.
Among Laurel Canyon’s residents were the likes of Neil Young, James Taylor, The Byrds, The Mamas & The Papas, Frank Zappa, Eagles, Carole King and Joni Mitchell.
Performed live by a six-piece band with vocals, in the first half, audiences can enjoy music from the artists listed above as well as many other Laurel Canyon residents during this time.
In the second half, the band will perform in its entirety Joni Mitchell’s 1971 album Blue. A song-writing masterclass, Blue includes some of Joni’s finest work including ‘Little Green’, ‘River’, ‘A Case of You’ and ‘California’.
