Three cash-poor fashion models – resourceful Schatze (Bacall), whimsical Loco (Grable) and short-sighted Pola (Monroe) are women on a mission: each wants to marry a millionaire. To accomplish their goal, they rent a luxurious penthouse apartment to pose as women of wealth and court the city elite. But things don’t go according to plan… Breezy and buoyant, How to Marry a Millionaire is a delightful comedy with wonderful performances, lines like “I already think you’re quite a strudel” and fashion to die for (all shot in CinemaScope, as Hollywood’s first picture to use the format).
