The Ballad of Wallis Island (12A)

  • Gloucester Guildhall 23 Eastgate Street Gloucester United Kingdom (map)

Dir: James Griffiths | UK | 2025 | 100 mins

Cast | Carey Mulligan, Tim Key, Tom Basden

Carey Mulligan stars with comedian collaborators Tim Key and Tom Basden in this whimsical, big-hearted comedy.

He’s getting the band back together! Eccentric lottery winner Charles (Key) lives alone on a remote island and dreams of getting his favorite musicians, McGwyer Mortimer (Mulligan and Basden) together again. His fantasy becomes reality when the bandmates and former lovers accept his invitation to play a private show on the island, but they’re trapped there when a storm sets in. Old tensions resurface as Charles desperately – and hilariously – tries to salvage his dream gig.

“A big-hearted, consoling hug of a movie” ★★★★ Empire
