Canal & River Trust are running a series of events across Refugee Week to let you get closer to the waterway that runs through the heart of our city. This is Gloucester’s gateway to the world, and they place where we have welcomed newcomers for generations. Here’s what’s on:
Language Exchange Walk

Start at National Waterways Museum
Led by Canal and River Trust volunteers, this is a guided walk along the canal towpath starting from the National Waterways Museum Gloucester Docks. Encouraging people of all languages to come together and share connection by the water and the floating artwork. Suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs.
Paddling Taster Sessions

Guided paddle sessions led by Canal and River Trust volunteers offering the opportunity to paddle up to the “You look as though you might be a relation” installation and experience a journey on the water.
Experience Moonlit Arrival on the water

Start at National Waterways Museum
Enhance your experience of Moonlit Arrival by getting up close in canoes, kayaks and paddle boards. Book a ticket to watch the performance from the water. Led by Canal and River Trust volunteers.
