A Swedish celebrity finds sanctuary on the wilds of Exmoor in Caroline Ingvarsson’s slow burn noir.
Based on Håkan Nesser’s bestselling crime novel The Living and the Dead in Winsford, Unmoored sees Swedish TV presenter Maria’s (Mirja Turestedt) life capsize when shocking accusations are levied against her husband (Thomas W. Gabrielsson). Initially fleeing the media firestorm together, an unexpected confrontation pushes Maria to travel alone to Exmoor. But her seeming idyll quickly turns to paranoia, forcing her to examine her own complicity in the events of the past.
