The Pigeon Tunnel (12A)

  • Gloucester Guildhall 23 Eastgate Street Gloucester UK (map)

1he 33m

Directed: Errol Morris

The real and fictional worlds of John Le Carré’s life and art intersect in this fascinating and final interview with the great novelist. The latest film by Oscar-winning director Errol Morris (The Fog of War) is a fascinating cat-and-mouse game between filmmaker and subject. Their examination of ‘truth and art’ is lensed through Le Carré’s incredible life, lived in the shadowy corridors of Britain’s espionage agencies, which lay a foundation for the convincing narratives that were to unfurl over the next six decades.
